Planting from Seed - Is it best to plant directly into the ground, or should I sprout ahead of time?
I've never grown flowers from seed before. Is it best to sprout them before hand in the little sprouter things, or am I OK just planting directly into the ground. I'd rather not fuss with the planter cups unless I have to. 
I'm not "new to gardening." I've just never grown from seed before. 
It's not needed if you are patient about the blooming.
If you want them to bloom early and stay around longer then using the planter cups is better.
