I need to know how to make fibreglass/polyurethane moulds for casting concrete producrs as in concrete planter
I was looking into the same sort of project and found a TON of useful information at FiberglassWarehouse.com. Basically, you'll create a copy of the item to be cast (called a "plug") then cover it with gel-coat, which will form the surface of the mold. After that, you'll layer fiberglass cloth and resin over the coated plug until you've reached the desired thickness. Since your finished product will be hollow, you'll actually need two molds that will "nest", but the process would be the same for both. I've included the link to the site below. They also sell all the materials you'll need, though you might be able to find them cheaper locally or on another site.
